Additional Employee Perks

An Employee Discount is available to you. Merchandise will be priced at a discounted rate of Company cost plus 10%, and you receive a 10% discount on retail labor rates. A friends and family discount is also available.

Vacation time begins with one week after six months of service, two weeks after one year of service, three weeks after five years of service, and four weeks after ten years of service.

Earned Sick Leave (Non-Philadelphia Employees)
Your time accrual begins on your first date of hire. Sick leave is available to use after 120 days of employment. All employees earn one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, with a cap of 40 hours per benefit year (October 29–October 28). Time may be taken in hourly increments.

Philadelphia Employees
Sick leave is provided to all employees working in the Philadelphia location. You receive 40 hours of sick leave each year and, as a new hire, may use this time after 90 days of employment. Time may be taken in hourly increments. Sick leave resets each year on your accrual anniversary date.

Avalon Flooring provides six paid holidays (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day). If you are required to work, you will be compensated for that day.
